Hey guys, I know that the 05-07 dakotas are virtually the same so my question is this. I'm looking at a k&n intake for it, but they don't have one for my 3.7L v6 in my year, but they do the previous years. probably carb certification. They have one for the v8 though for 2007. my owners manual shows the engine layout being the same for the v8 and v6, so I'm wondering if I can interchange those intakes, OR should I try the cold air kit for the 06 v6?

I would think the 3.7 for 06 and 07 are the same.
If the K&N kit is a local buy, you can always
take it back.

Yeah, that's what I figured too, but I'm not exactly sure. I was hoping somebody had tried it, and could tell me. I wanted to get it cheaper and the only way I can do that is to get it online, and that isn't exactly easy to return if it doesn't fit.

One thing to note, the 07 Dakota with the V6 was the first year they changed the TB to a Drive by Wire design. It may be the reason why they are different.
