I have an 04 Dakota. What is the best (most detailed, easiest to understand) repair manual you can buy?

Chiltons or Haynes if you can find one.

Search online for the .pdf version of the factory manual. If you get desperate, you can buy the CD on eBay for $20.00 or so.

Don't waste your money on a Chiltons or Haynes
manual. BTW, both are the SAME company.

I agree 100% with OBIO2. Factory is the best BUT
you're gonna pay for it.

I would go with the Dodge version, too, and I have a set. But I said Chiltons or Haynes because he wanted "easiest to understand". Ever tried to use the wiring diagrams in the FSM? What a pain.

I get my factory manuals off EBAY, used ones. I watch for the extra fine condition ones. I've seen my books go for 65 bucks. If you watch long enough they can go for 25-30 bucks. The newer the book, the less of them show up.

I doubt it will be any good for your 2004, but I have a 2002 FSM in PDF form that I could send you. Its the entire book and I love it. Really helps out with the little things. Hell, I wired up my Air/Fuel meter with it. Post your e-mail if you want it.
