Subject: 1999 Rear brake line leak IP: Logged
Message: Anybody know where I can get a rear brake line (the one that runs along the frame) pre-bent. I called my local Chrysler dealer and they told me they don't make the factory bent ones anymore and to bend my own. I would bend it myself but I just broke my wrist and will be in a cast for six weeks and I need my truck.
Thanks.

Message: Bending up a steel brake line is pretty easy. Doesn't take line, and only costs a few bux in parts. You do need a special tool for making the double flare.
Stop by pretty much any brake shop and they can do it for you. Ask around with some of your car friends, maybe some one can do it for you or help you do it.

Message: I had rusted lines on my truck and the rear line completely failed. My dealer was able to order a full set of all the metal lines for me. Took some effort to look them up but they were able to get them. This was about 6 months ago.
