I'm telling you they are API certified! The federal goverment would not use it in their vehicles and equipment if it wasn't. Look at this:

Feel good with America's Choice Premium Automotive Lubricants
formulated with highly re-refined base oil.

Re-refining motor oil reduces the need to tap limited virgin crude resources and allows environmentally conscious motorists the opportunity to "close the loop" by recycling used motor oil and purchase re-refined oil. Safety-Kleen's modern re-refining processes turn used motor oil to a like-new condition by removing dirt and contaminants before blending sophisticated lubricating additives to protect engines. All major car manufacturers have approved the use of American Petroleum Institute (API) certified re-refined oil in their vehicles. America's Choice Motor Oil is certified by API.

API is over rated and worthless

API is a minimum rating and voluntary

neither amsoil or redline oils are API

both exceed minimum requirements for api certification

also, Royal Purple racing oils are not api
and the company only states that RP racing
oils exceed api certification

api is a minimum rating for oils interested
only in meeting minimum requirements

amsoil, redline and royal purple racing oils
exceed minimum api cert and don't give a $hit

well gee says alot about scamoil then doesn't it???

cause they never got API approved!

"also, Royal Purple racing oils are not api "
NO SH!T dumb azz!
there is no need for a racing oil to be API certified!
there is no factory warranty on a race engine!

Stan get off the drugs out of the welfare line and get a dam job!

all royal purples oil are API certified (except the race oils which dont have to be)

Amsoil can't get there oils API certified
they had to cook up a whole new oil just to get IT approved!

Royal Purple racing oils are also for daily drivers
just really short oil change intervals

and Cory posted the following info:

All vehicle manufacturers in the U.S. have agreed that a warranty cannot be denied because a customer was using any particular brand of oil that meets specifications, unless an engine failure was directly attributable to the fluid. If it is not a fluid related failure, they cannot void the warranty. The law supports this position.

Plus, the dealer/manufacturer has no way of telling what fluid you are using.

Amsoil meets and exceeds API specs.

This time I am posting. Stan you have been nothing but a P.I.T.A. on this site and made some of the dumbest posts I have ever seen. Your last post a top here however takes the prize. I mean you without a doubt are a true Darwin Award winner!

Race Oils should not be used in street engines.
Race oils are non or very low detergent oils.
They have very little to no cleaning properties.
They are made for motors that see high heat-High RPMs and are torn down regular & rebuilt.
This is also a reason they are not API approved
for their lack of cleaning properties.
Which they don't need in a race engine.

ALL Royal Purple OILS (with exception to the race oils) ARE API CERTIFIED!

Race Oils do not need to be or get API certified.

Redline doesn't claim their oils are API,
their labels simply mention 'recommended where
API specs ...... are required'

plus they dont have snakeoil salesmen
trying to tell you otherwise.

and got that one API certified!
they other still will not pass!!!!!!!!!!

whats the diff between mobil 1 and scamsoil?
the wallet will tell you the differance!

gee not to mention you can find it anyplace
while with scamsoil you need a membership
then you have to order add S&H and wait for the over priced crap to get to your house!

Interesting all and add that in a recent consumer afairs article that tested all oils from cheap dino to $$$ syn.
The result? After a 100k mi on each engine at manufatues recomended change intervil-no mesuralbe wear differance. The only differance they could mesure came in extream cold when M1 0-30 out flowed them all.
So what's the point of all the disscusion on this? RUN WHAT YOU LIKE
