So speed had a pinks marathon running yesterday and I caught a few episodes including the original pinks and pinks all out.
I saw a few mopars, some classics as well as a few trucks - ram and d100. The guy racing the D100 had owned it for 15 years I think. He said he drove it in high school. Him and his dad turned it into a race truck.
Has anyone seen a dakota drag truck? I don't think I ever have.
if you haven't seen pinks all out and like drag racing, it's a good show. A bunch of people show up and run "all out". they group the cars by times and come up with a large group around the same time and pick 16 of them (one show they had 20, 12 in for sure and 8 that did race off for the final 4 spots). the fastest time doesn't mean you're in. They spot the sandbaggers easy enough and disqualify them on the spot.
One episode was in detroit, they had 3 import cars show up. Of the 3 only 1 was running an import powerplant. One of the tech advisors made the comment he thought the crowd would chant "traitor" when the imports pulled up to the starting line. LOL
