By turning the bolt at the back end of the torsion bars clockwise. It'll be easier with the weight of the nose jacked up; and a good idea to do an alignment afterward. Might see up to 2", measure to keep both sides even (counting turns is unreliable).

i forgot to mention its not a dakota its a 1993 toyota 4runner. there is only a bolt in the front of the 4runner right after the torsion bar ends unless they put a plastic cap over the bolt in the back

Yup, my bad on Lola/Layla - but I stand by the rest of it. I wonder why he/she/it spells the name with both "c" and "k" ? Too far apart on the keyboard to be a typo. Next time try "Amanda" (A man, duh). BTW, you don't have to pretend to be female to get help here.
