when my truck is idling you can hear it miss every so often. it has 130000 miles on it. where is the first place to check to see why it is missing?

Check for codes. It is possible the PCM has a code stored even if the Check Engine light isn't on. Yes, the year of the truck and engine type would be helpful!

Yeah, the rotor and plug wires might be a waste of time if you have a 4.7. Need more info man.
