Message: Undercoating is a good idea if you are in a "snow" area... The salt up here will eat vehicles alive!
BTW, I'm sure that the dealer contracts that work out to do the undercoating and bedliner (at least the ones in my city do..) and then they end up charging you more for the services then if you were to go and have it done yourself... (I can testify to that fact when my dealer was about to charge me $450 for a bedliner that the "contractor" only charged them $250 to do... and that was the same price they charged to anyone off the street!)
Personally, I wouldn't let a dealer do any of that stuff... unless your objective is to roll the cost of it into the financing of the vehicle (then I can understand). The dealer is out to make "more" money and they don't always give you a "better deal" than you can get on your own... (Oh yes.. they will smile, giggle, and grin their way into your checkbook!)
Finally... for whatever you decide... please get the warranties in writing!!!! I can't stress that enough. Right now I am in a dispute with my dealer and they STILL haven't sent me my warranty papers. So they have pretty much played me. Just don't let it happen to you.
Good luck!

Message: I can get a spray on bedliner with a 5 year warranty for only $120 from a local company that does spray on bedliners. He also does custom colour jobs with designs in the bedliner for very little, so to me that sounds like a really bad deal.

Message: You are lucky you have found this Board. This is a great source of information.
I wish I had found it before I did some of my early modifications. For best results, give and take....
Hopefully you (and others) will benefit from it before you buy things that don't work or pay too much for things that do or buy things that you will replace soon.
We all have sinned my son!! My confession will be the purchase of an Airaid TB Spacer. (If you want one I know where you can get a great deal, barely used)
I have a 2001 QC 5.9 2wd. I hope you love yours as much as I do mine. Congratulations!!
