I traded in my wife's 2004 Dakota on a 2007 Dakota Quad 4.7 H.O. (she got a Caliber R/T). I didn't test drive the 2007 because I thought it had to be better than the 2004. Now that I have had it a month I can honestly say that, except for the imporvement given by the 4.7 H.O. over her V6, the 2004 was a better truck. Aside from having a bigger bed, the 2004 had 4-wheel disc brakes (the 2007 has rear drums) and the 2007 has a much softer suspension which make the truck porpoise after hitting bumps. What does the list think of the 2007 Dak?

Personally, I hated the ride of my Dak's (00, 03 and 01 Durango)until I replaced the shocks. I went with Monroe Reflex's and the trucks ride was MUCH better. I tried CarQuest Bruiser shocks on the 00 and the ride wasn't better than stock,,, so if your going to replace the shocks spend some money and get good ones, Monroe Reflex's, KYB, Edelbrock, etc...

I wish my 07 rode as nice as my stock 04. No one seems to make shocks for the 05 - 07 Dakota.
