Subject: Fog Light Relays? IP: Logged
Message: 1997 Dakota 3.9 V6 5 Speed Bare Bones for options
I hooked up a set of aftermarket foglights to my truck and hooked into the stock foglight wiring that was already in place Switch (relay and fuse in the fuse panel under the hood)but after hooking everything up i had no power and traced the problem back to a second relay in the fog light system. Do they normally have two in the system i cant figure out a reason for it. And to top it off the relay clicks using signal power from the switch. And main power is there but when it clicks over power does not go through? Anyway what im hoping for is an answer Is this relay even needed or can i cut it out and direct wire it?

Message: Tracked down the problem. The hot wire going into the relay was broken inside about an inch away from the relay
