well, finally after 8yrs and 80k i decided to change my battery after it almost left me stranded. it had been cranking really slow the last week or so. i figured my luck was running out so i bought a new one. maybe i'll get another 8yrs out of the new one.

You're one of the lucky ones, daddio. Most times a
battery will give no warning it's about ready to
die like yours did. Most will crap out because of
a shorted cell.

O.E. battery. no brand name. one thing in nny favor. i have NO power acc. on my truck not even an auto trans so thats probably what made it last so long. i do have an underdrive crank pulley and a 300 watt amp for my stereo that i do not mind abusing.
