 Subject: Dakota AWD transfer-case issues

Any one out there with real-world, long term AWD ownership w info/experience concerning the transfer case breakin due to unmatched tire size (1/4" due to new tire after blowout)? Highway miles only last 1 month, had CV/Driveline break/catch fire. Had dealer repair. 3 weeks later, got 14"+ crack in case at rear of housing. Dealer claiming unrelated. This is an '01 truck w 112,000mi and no previous related problems. Any help or info would be absolutely appreciated.

Yes, after replacing my front tires on my 2001 Chrysler T & C AWD which did not match my rear tires my tranfer case broke. I drove for less than 10 miles with the new tires when this happened.
