 Subject: 95 Dakota 2.5 loses power

Hey everyone new around here and have a problem. My dakota runs fine some days and others it loses power under acceleration. At this point, the fuel pump and filter have been changed. The fuel lines were blown out and recently the cat converter was changed. What am I missing here. some are telling me to change the EGR valve but don't want to spend $60 on that if that isn't really a possibility. anyone else have this problem or have any suggestions on what to check next?

o2 sensors, plugs, wires...like daddio asked, are you tripping any codes?
If it doesn't fit, force it. If it breaks...well...it needed to be replaced anyway.
