Subject: putting durango spindle/rotor onto dak

Message:
Has anyone upgraded the front brakes on their Dak to the durango rotors/calipers......looks like it is a simple parts upgrade......seems that the brake cylinders and all the equipment under the hood is the same its when it reaches the wheelwell it becomes different.......since i already have 16in rims it seems all i need to do is order parts below for durango

Spindle
brake shield
calipers
brake line to caliper (has dif thread than dak line)
rotors and pads to match

seems simple enough and would get gobs more stopping power

anyone have the part numbers needed and is this doable?

my Dak is 02 4x2 Quad cab. Reason why i'm asking is all the conversions i have seen are 4x4. seems to reason if 4x2 suspension is almost the same that we could do the same upgrade for 4x2 trucks

I crossed the parts, all seem to match except the tie rods, Dan seems to think it's something to do with the length and not the actual holes.

Also parts crossed only matched with 03 Dakota brakes (for the 2WD), not the Durango. Same set up, just not quite as big, but not much difference.

I hope this helps you some, I would love to see someone make this work with a 2WD.
