Message: Someone told me that if you sand blast aluminum rims it will causes pitting and make the rim look worse... Is this true?

Message: bead blasting will leave a better/ smoother finish. this is glass beads, the finer the better. some people also use rice hull or walnut shells.

Message: krissy you can sandblast rims and the finer the blast grit the better... just beware it will remove all of the finish and that will cause the wheel to pit as it has no protection.. for a while it may look better then it does now.
