I posted this somewhere else, but I can't find it. I need help, I just bought an 88' dakota 4wd the passenger side front axle is missing, just at the joint, not completely gone. It is drivable and everything, runs great. So, I wanted to make sure the 4wd worked, so I put it in 4 hi cuz I figured the driver side front wheel would at least pull, but nothing, everything engages, light comes on, but if I hit the gas, rear tires just spin. Now, this it the weird thing, when I put the truck in 4 lo, right when I make the shift, I can barely hold the truck back with the brakes, so I hit the gas, and again, the rear tires just spin, WEIRD? any clues?
