Message: I've got a 2001 Club Cab, 4.7 liter, automatic. When it's cold it seems the the wind noise is amplified, checked seals, they all look fine. The only thing I could think of is the wind noise is coming from under the hood, thinking hood insulation might help. Any ideas? Thanks.
P.s It's going at speeds of 55 mph and worse as speed increases.

Message: BigGW:Your problem is a defective fan clutch assembly, its grabbing all the time and should not be,take it back to the dealer and tell the that the clutch fan is grabbing all the time and you want it replced under warranty, should not be a problem and should only take them about 1 to 2 hours to do,make some sort of mark with a wax crayon or something on one of the fan blades before you go,then make sure they swaped it,dealers are crooks!!!

Message: I have the same problem. I get a lot of wind noise even at fairly slow speeds. It's almost deafening at highwaty speed. I've asked 2 other Dakota owners and both had the same complaint. One said she actually took her truck back to the dealership about it. They told her it was coming from the vents that exhaust air from the cab (obviously it's something they were aware of) and that she shoud keep checking to see if Dodge has come up with a fix for it. My only question is..if two out of two poeple I asked have that problem, how come it's not a more common complaint?

Message: Ryan M , yes I have!! My drivers side rear window was leaking last summer, when I would take it to a brushless car wash(just to get the majority of the grime off, then I spend about 7 to 8 hours doing it right!!)I took it to the dealer and they fixed it right up,did not leak again all summer.
I took it through again last Friday to get the stinking road salt off and its leaking again!!! And yes..the wind noise must be comming from there,if water gets in you KNOW wind will!!

Message: I'm not sure about you guys? but I've got a GenII
and I have the same problem. I can't figure out if the noise is coming from?... doors, cab windows, sun roof...? I think it's more the doors/sun roof, but not sure.... it only occurs when traveling about 55? I have had it looked at by the dealer, they replaced the door seal. even though it did it on the way home, they said it was fixed... the dealer sucks... Any ideas?
