Subject: my truck looks... IP: Logged
Message: different then i thought. yesturday my buddy drove it while i followed him and it definatly needs some work. its way to high in the air. and even with a block in the rear it still sits higher in the rear. and from the front it looks like a damn 4x4. "its only 2" so i wanted to lower it but im on a tight budget. what do you guys think about these.

as for the rear do you think i can raise the hangers on the fram to bring it lower? as of right now i have like 3 inches until the axle hits the bumpstop. how do guys get 6" lower in the rear. even if i took the bumpstop out it would still not be 6 inches.
finally with r/t wheels on a non r/t they stick out a little. where can i get OEM fender flares for cheap. i tried ebay butthey only have one flare at a time. id like to get all 4 at once.

Message: 4X2 has leaf springs BELOW the rear axle.
You could remove a leaf - not recommended, but since you want to lower it, you're obviously not concerned about load capacity changes.
You could install a longer shackle, but it would take a shackle that's 4 inches longer than stock to lower the back 2 inches. There may not be room between shackle anchor and truck bed for a 4 inch longer one.
Easiest is to toss a 2-inch block between rear axle and leaf springs to drop it 2 inches. You'll need longer U-bolts of course.

Message: yeah im already bottoming out with a bike in the back when i go over a bump. so taking a leaf out is not an option. i also already have a block in the rear. AND it still sits higher than the front. but thanks for the advice.
what do you guys think about those springs? and how bout fender flares?
