What kind of car do you have with the 427? That thing sounds cool as hell!

Message: Factory Five roadster (Cobra). I use a 427 Dart motor. It puts 450 hp to the pavement, and the torque curve is as flat as a table top. Lots of fun to drive.

Message: Traction is a challange. On the street tires I can hit 60mph in about 3 seconds. But if I could get some traction, I bet I could be under 3 every time. Feathering the clutch and throttle in first and second takes some practice. The car only weighs 2250# wet.

Message: Yeah I thought traction might be a problem. I didn't know it weighed that little either.
You ever run the 1/4 with it? Hows the handling?

Message: I took it to the dragstrip once last year. Didn't do very well for a variety of reasons. Now that's it's cooling off, I might try again.
The handeling is superb. These cars are designed for the high speed road course, and they do it very well. I can run Pueblo Motorsports Park in about 1:45; and Hastings Motosports Park in 1:47. I've made some upgrades this month, so I'm shooting for 1:40 at Pueblo.

Message: Right on dude. I used to be all about the 1/4 mile. But now I've learned to appreciate going fast through corners too. I just added a rear sway bar to my truck and its working well.
What size tires are on the back of that hot rod? They look pretty wide and I was always curious as to how wide it was.
Guess what, now you suck cause I want your car. HEHEHE :)

Message: I run a 285 on the street, and a 295 on the track. I'v considered making some frame mods to fit a 315. But the current balance is excellent - tread temps are almost exactly the same front to rear. If I use a 315 rear, then I'll have to mod the front to fit something a little wider.
Look in the gallery here for a picture of mine and other club members cars. My car is second row down, in the middle.
