I've been noticing lately that when i back into my driveway at night ....witch i live the botton of the hill an cut it shape ...i here the CV boot's rubbing the aframe ? no holes ...sometimes i hear it going forward taking sharp corners slow? is this normal or do i need shocks or something...the bump stops are still there ? any help would be great....03 Quad Cab 4x4 4.7L with original shocks and opitional tire of 265/70/16 with 85K on truck...Thanks

I just did the outer axle seal on the passigner side as it was leaking an checked both axles for play...can't movem...all boots in great shape...just that rubbing noise

When brand new my truck could soak up most bumps and go around quick corners on uneven pavement without either end ever leaving the ground. By 55000 it lost that ability. I imagine those things are pretty much done for by around 60 thousand miles unless you drive on nothing but smooth pavement. The factory shocks seem to give a very good ride but not for very long.

The ride is pretty good to stay the least...but who knows after "Getting use to things" I'm thinking of just putting some Gas-matics on from parts america as most of my driving is highway an just to and from my hunting stands ....When i wanna wheel thats what i got a quad for ...

I would say you need shocks, but if your cutting it sharp, I would say tire rub. not cv boots.
