Chrysler vehicles now have a lifetime powertrain warranty to the original owner. I saw a jeep commercial on TV and heard a dodge commercial on the radio.
Looks like they are finally stepping up to compete better with the 100,000 mile warranties available from other manufacturers.

Its a "Chrysler Lifetime Powertrain Limited Warranty" .... see the limited part .. it makes me wonder about it ..... also .. its not available on the SRT models ...

Somehow I just can't see Chrysler backing a
lifetime powertrain warranty up. They will ALWAYS
find a way to blame the failed item on the owner.
Just like they are doing right now on the 2.x
V6 engines and the sludge problem it has. It's not
the owners fault the engine fails. Chrysler says
owner not changing or using cheap oil.

There are lots of caveats in their warranty. It's for first owner only. It's based on 100K mile life. I'd rather have their old 7/70 warranty that was transferrable.

don't be surprised if you are requiered to "prove" regular maintenance thru approved vendors for the warranty. oil chang, trans, rear etc.
Plus no business use, off road, truck, abuse etc.
plus it is only where lubricants touch - motor - trans -rear

If they had that in 03 they would have fixed my AWD and I'd still have 3k in my pocket!! Great warranty if you keep your trucks like I do.
