Message: Zanio Bros has a web address, use google and type in zanio and choose "I feel lucky" and you will go to it. There is a lot of time and effort to apply a zanio finish. An option is to check out detail-zone.com/waxes.htm I got this address off a post from Deltman. Either product will set you back a little more than the off the shelf stuff. Good Luck

Message: Apparently.... clay bars are supposed to do a great job, as does a product called Safe Cut. Me, I use Meguiar's Cleaning Wax, touch up the scratches with Color Magic Black Wax, buff, Meguiar's Gold Coat, then buff again. Again, I've heard that Zaino's has several step products that are supposed to be great, I'm going to HAVE to try them.

and I've used many of thier products including the CARNAUBA WAX. I've used it on my Benz for the last 3 years and just applied a coat to my new 2001 QC. Looks great and last quite awhile.
I believe half of the life of a wax job is in the prep. Twice a year I use the paint cleaning clay with thier speed shine and then wax. The wax stays on longer.

Message: Some of you might laugh but I got a tip when I had my Black '97 Dakota use Pledge Furniture wax. I do not know of any problems using this or have I had any problems. I laughed when I was told this but he said try it. Sure enough I have never been able to match the Shine or gloss it adds. This is best for dark colors. The scratches disappear. My new 4x4 has many branch scratches on it. When I wax it they vanish. I just use the car duster to keep clean.
I have not seen any other wax come close to the shine you get or hide the scratches. This does not remove any paint either. I apply the wax thick with a rag then use my hand buffer clean up the excess. Occasionally I have to wip a third time to remove any streaks I find.

Been hooked on Zaino for three years now. Been showing cars for 20 years, tried Meguiars, Zymol, Griots, etc. etc. etc. Zaino is the best product I've found.
Also I found the following comparison test interesting. And it seemed to be pretty objective.

Zaino Z-5 is a scratch "remover" it takes several coats, but it is soooo easy to put on, you won't mind putting a coat on after every wash! this stuff is soooo slick! I have 2 coats of z5 and one coat of z2 polish, and I can say, I like the z5 better than the polish! The pics I posted on that board are of scratch remover ONLY and no polish yet!
the clay bars won't remove scratches, only crap on your paint.
if you don't want to find a rep on z28.com you can find at least 3 on stangnet.com in the forums section under sound and shine. THINKING about becomine a vendor my self... like I said, thinking.
if anyone has questions, fell free to ask
here is a list of stuff you will want for your first order.
Z1- Polish lok -have to have
Z2- Polish - of course, you need it
Z5- Scratch remover-not necesary, but recomended
Z6- Spray- needed
Z7- Car wash- prob could do without, but GET IT! =]
Z18- Clay bar- if you have never clay barred before, do it! you will be amazed at that crap that comes off your paint! A must!
all this should run you around $85

Message: I purchased the whole Zaino Line to test it out. I think this is the best stuff. I know its all just a matter of opinion but I have not stopped for Six days. I stopped using waxes when I got my black truck '97. They all sucked in my opinion. Some guy at work told me about the pledge thing and it worked great.
I can not believe how deep of a shine you get with the Zaino products. I now have a '00 4X4 Patriot Blue. I go off road a lot and have numerous scratches from branches and mud on shoes etc. After the first application of the Zaino I was very impressed with the deep shine and gloss. I had never seen that kind of shine from my work before plus the I noticed that the Blue color got deeper. No rub marks or anything. The Additional products keep the process easy to up keep. I have stocked up and will be applying this to my wife's van (like she'll appriciate it)!
The application and process is easy. Easiest I've found.
Only my opinion but I did just today read the comparison test that someone posted somewhere and I was not surprised with the result. Zaino wins of course!
Go here to read about the test.

Message: If you want to or like to spend all day cleaning and polishing your truck then Zaino Brothers stuff is for you. If you are like me and want a simple to use product that works and looks good use Zymol Cleaner Wax available at Costco in a 2 pack for around 15 bucks.
I used to use Nu Finish which is a good polish but the Zymol shine is much better.
Nothiong against Zaino but I just think there are too many steps and way too much work. I just won't have my wife do that much work. (yes my wife washes and waxes both our Dakotas, nice lady).

Message: I disagree about Zaino being to complicated or take to long. The first application was choice. I decided to continue adding a coat everyday to see if it really does get a deeper shine. It Does. I do not like to spend more than a hour detailing after washing. This is easy to accomplish with Zaino. This is only my opinion and I must satisfy myself only. With all of the Swirl marks and scratches from wheelin this products brings out a better brighter deeper color than any of the waxes mentioned. I have tried them all. Maybe only Zaino is what I understand how to use.
I will not spend all of my day waxing. Plus the weekend I started this I played a round of golf each day.
Zaino is easy.

Message: I disagree... Zaino is not a multi step process. ONLY on the initial coat. You have to:
1. Wash with Dawn to get rid of the old wax
2. Clay bar the whole thing (optional)
3. Wash with regular wash
4. Put on a thin coat of Z1
5. Put on your first coat of 5 or 2. Either can be put on Z1 wet
after that, you just wipe on a coat of z2 or z5 whenever you feel like it. How hard is that? No rubbing, no buffing . You put the Z2/5 on with the lines of the vehicle ie. back and forth, no circular motion. It goes on thin.
After it dries, you wipe it off.. once again no buffing.
After it is all said and done, you can go back over it with the spray gloss enhancer, but it is not a necesity ( I do it)
Yep, putting on multi coats of Zaino is tuff =]
I started on mine about mid Sept and I have about 3 coats of 5 and 2 coats of 2. I usually throw on a coat after every wash now =]

Message: I have been using 3M products for about 10 years now and found they are about the best. I have never tried Zaino. I might pick up some just to compare. I been involved with drag racing, street rods, and street cars for 15 years. I know quite a few people in the autobody business. 2 of which do custom work only at $7-10K a paint job. They are the ones that told me about the 3M products. Before that I was using Meguiars. 3M has products mostly geared towards body shops for finish work on new paint jobs, but their care products are just as good for removing scratches and putting on a nice shine. They also have one of the best paste waxes I have ever used. I've included a link below for you to check it out. I must warn you that the compounds they offer are not for amature use. You must know how to use a wheel or you will ruin your paint. I the polishes and glazes are very user friendly. I used the 39007 and 39009 for polish/glaze. I use the 39526 for wax. Check it out:
