I looked it up and it said bad Cat or bad o2. How do you test the o2 sensor to see if it's working properly. I replaced it not too long ago but I hear the Bosch O2's suck so I want to test it before I replace that or the Cat. Thanks for any help.

Just tap on the cat to see if it is bad. Hard to test a 02 sensor. I would just get a replacement from NGK. Summit racing has them.

You can't tell a bad cat by tapping on it. Check your idle vacuum, probably around 17-22". If the cat is breating okay, that should be 3-5" higher at 2500-3000 rpm.

Lead, follow, or get out of the way

The only way to test an 02 sensor is with a graphing osilloscope, good luck finding one of those, they run about $1900. To test your cat, you must measure the exhaust pipe where it goes in the cat, and at the exit of the cat. There should be about 100 degrees hotter behind the cat, because of the catalyst affect.

If i was you, id start by just replacing with either an OEM or NGK Sensor, clear the code and if it comes back, then go to a shop and get your cat tested, theyre expensive...
