Subject: Power Steering IP: Logged
Message: Hey guys-
I need to change out the hydraulic hoses for my power steering. Is
this a job that a novice wants to take on? I have changed out other
hoses before, but never these. Are there any special tools I need,
or do I have to bleed it in any way once they are changed out. How
difficult is this going to be? I guy wanted $120 to do it, and I
thought it was a rip off. Let me know.
Thanks
John

Message: I have never done it on a dakota but recently done it on my wifes Intrepid. Was kinda a pain in the @ss, but can be done. Just make sure you use line wrenches on the fittings. As for bleeding I just filled the res. and warmed it up and turned the wheels back and forth a few times and topped the fluid off as needed.
