Subject: how much difference? IP: Logged
Message: whats the difference in performance for a 93 dak 318 5speed and a 93 3.9. theres drive test that show the dak with the 318 pulls 7.9 seconds to 60 when the dak with the 3.9 takes 8.3.. to me thats horrible for the v8 especially when it has 50 more hp and 75 more lb ft of torque. has ne one run a faster pull to 60 in the dak with the 318

Message: They were probably spinning. I believe that the '92 and '93s were the best years.

Message: yes the 92 - 93's had larger exhaust manifold ports
giving them something like an extra 10hp
i have ripped on Chevy 305's and one 350 with my 3.9
it has Mods however
on that 5.2 vs. 3.9 was it a unfair challenge ?
meaning was the V8 a 4x4 and the 3.9 a 2 wheel drive, or cab sizes unmatched?
{don't forget the power to weight ratio}

Message: The 318 was never suppose to be a race engine
in the first place. It was one of the best work
horse V8 engines ever built.
Even souped up, the 318 won't set any records.
Just my 2 cents worth guys..
