Message: My rear suspension has been very squeaky lately and I took a look at it and saw that one of those clamps for the leaf springs is broken and part of the rubber bushing is missing. Its the part that is on the front and rear of the leaf spring that wraps around them and has a rubber bushing. The dealership said I have to buy an entirely new leaf spring setup to get that part.
I was wondering if anyone knew a seperate part number for it or an aftermarket solution. I could not find anything.
Thanks

Message: Look in the phone company for a company that re-arches springs. They should have what you need sitting on the shelf.

Message: Its for a 2000 Dakota Quad 2wd.
I have seen part numbers before for the clip and the bushings somewhere on the board but it was for a 4wd, not sure if they are the same. But I cannot find that posting anymore.

Message: I won't be home till sun nite I have everything in my truck, the parts and a copy of the TSB for the noise. There are nylon discs between the spring leafs at the edges where they rub against eachother which wear over time and make one helluva squeak. I'll get you all the info when I get home. The TSB is for the Durango and Dakota 2wd and 4wd. All it would have taken the parts guy was another min or two to look for a TSB while you were there. thats one of the problems when dealerships put a body in there and not a "car-guy" or someone with a interest in doing something right but most dealers don't like to pay anyone either so that kinda explains it.
