Message: The bolt pattern for a 1996, 4x4, 3.9, is 6 on 5.5 right? I know that's what my 1997 is but I am ordering rims for my cousin's truck and I don't wanna mess it up for him! Thanx

Message: Here I thought they ALL were 6 on 4.5...including your '97. Better re-check.

Message: I think that they changed in '92 or somewhere around there to the 6 x5 1/2 and then in '05 they went back to 5 lugs. Which is a lot easier to find wheels.
'97 RC V6, 5spd, soon to be V8, 5spd! Maybe not a 5-speed, but an automatic will work.

Message: Nope - I'm with "other bill", it's 6 on 4.5".
Gumby either doesn't know what he thinks he knows, or isn't driving a Dakota.

Message: Yeah, that is right, but all I know is that unless you spend some money on custom rims your options are not that great.

Message: No big thing - I see Walt Felix has posted the best info on this thread. My answer was a little flawed as well - only geared toward the years originally posted ('96,'97), and could have been misleading to those with other years. Thanks Walt !
