Message: i have a 97 dakota. 2.5 liter. when i start it up it runs fine but after a couple miles it starts boggin out and when i down shift it straightens until i shift up, also when i pull to a stop its idoling really rough like its about to die and it smells like its gettin too much gas, in occasion if you let it idol long enough it starts to suck alot of air through the intake. check engine light is on and i've replaced everythin it says : oxygen sensor, and throttle positioning sensor, and i also changed spark plugs, plug wires, cap and rotor still no change. can you help figure this out.,
Thanks,
Brandon

Message: is the CEL still on? and have you gotten a code for the MAP sensor? that may be causing it to run rich.

Message: It's almost impossible for TPS and O2 sensor to fail at the same time. However, it's very likely that the harness ground wire broke loose from the block. Look at the rear of the block for a broken wire from a ring tongue terminal that screws to the block.
