hey all. What were the years of the gen 1 and gen 2. I have a 93 that needs a cab, and have access to a cab off a 90. I know the headlights and grill might be different, any thing else bodywise? I want to see if the cab and fenders will match up with my hood, bumper, headlights, and grill.

yes, 87-96 use the same cab, fenders, doors etc.. The only difference is the radiator support, grill, bumper, lower valance, and hood. And those are interchangeable if you swap them as a set. In truth, the Gen 1 / Gen II split are really only internet designations. Dodge actually considers 87-96 a single generation.

I have a 97 dodge dakota with the 318 in it but the bottom
of my disterbuter bolts broke off so I used the bottom part
of a v6 they look to be the same so will it work if I use my
top of my v8 on the bottom of it

Looking to maybe get a 12 bolt 3.92 LSD rear axle for my 2003 4x4. Seems more lower mileage/disc setup options are avail from the newer 2005+ daks. Can't imagine they're much different. Can I just swap my older 6 lug disc axles into the newer tubes and call it a day?
