My 1995 dakota intermit charging is driving me crazy. sometimes it charges at 13+ volts then all of a sudden it drops to aroumd 8 volts gages go heywire. has 193,600 miles.

Check battery wire connections to terminals, and check power splice at left front fender.

Going by the age of thetruck, I bet your alternater brushes`are`wore` out and there making poor connection.If so, change the bearings`too
