Subject: need clutch master cyl help IP: Logged
Message: I cant find the plastic line that goes between master and slave clutch cyl's. I burnt mine on the exhaust manifold. The truck is a` 94 dakota sport 3.9L. Allthe places i've gone to only sell either cyl or complete assy. I tried using tractor trailer air brake line, but get an air leak in the lines. any help or tip is appreciated.
thanks

Message: Your pretty much limited to a clutch line or brake line. I would be packing the old line with me and hitting parts stores and other dealers. Ford, Chev, Jeep, you name it. someone has a replacement line that will work. Long as it is long enough with proper ends you can make it work fine. Unless your smarter then me, lol, Don't take much, the real fun is trying to bleed it. Don't try to use metal line unless you can use a wheel cylinder hose connected to it for movement. Universal metal line that you bend to shape yourself plus a short rubber brake cylinder hose should do the trick if need be.
