Subject: HELP!!!! Broken bolt IP: Logged
Message: I was swapping out my calipers today and the bolt that attaches the flex hose to the new caliper twisted (didn't strip that I can tell)and is unusable. I need to get a new bolt, but I can't find one. Is it generally sold as part of the flex hose kit or separate. The reman calipers I got just had a rubber plug in the hole.
Always has to happen on Saturday afternoon...
Thanks

Message: Take that bolt to a good auto parts store and see if they got one.

Message: What you're looking for is a Banjo Bolt. Pretty standard item. Like he said, take the old one to NAPA, and they should be able to match it up.
Be sure to check the hole in the caliper. That often strips out before the banjo bolt does. It can be repaired, but requires complete disassembly of the caliper. Might be cheaper/easier to get new calipers if yours are near the end of their life.
