Message: I've used a lot of Fram filters and have NEVER had a problem or vehicle that hasn't lasted for at least 200k without engine repairs. With millions of filters sold every, likely more than all others put together, you are bound to hear a horror story or two. You are more likely to have a $30,000 car fail than a $5 Fram filter.

Fram's been well known as a very low quality oil filter no matter who or where you ask. They migh have changed their ways beinging out a premium filter but I still don't trust them. A Fram filter gve out on my buddies truck and ruined his engine.

Message: I cut one open a few months ago to find cheap cardboard ends and a drainback valve that just doesn't work....there was no oil left in the filter when I cut it open! I went back to OEM Mopar filters...cut one open and it's a rock solid piece with metal ends and a drain back valve that keeps oil in the filter rather then drain back into the pan.
You don't see me flaming every single FRAM oil filter post on here do you??? My point made - Amsoil flamers (or any flamers for that fact)...get a life boys!! haha
