I'm assuming it fell inside. If so just remove the valve cover. Not that big a deal.

no, what happened was the part of the tube where it bends, or the elbow part snaped right off, so the rest of the connector is still on the valve cover but I can't figure out how to pull it off.

Your not understanding it so I suggest you go buy the new one and examine it. The light bulb should come on.

its the piece that hooks into the air filter

its not the one that hooks into the intake manifold, its on the other valve cover.

Your playing games or very confused. You need a machanic.

alright, let me explain, there is a system on present day gasoline engines whichs allows the flow of air though the crankcase. One day I decided to clean my engine bay. Unfortanly, due to my stupidity, while I was taking my K&N filtercharger off the trottle body I snaped the piece that goes into the PASSAGERSIDE valve cover and hooks into the
K&N tube. Now, I'm no machanic, just a college kid with no money, but I know enough to know you don't need to take the whole valve cover off to get this little piece off. Now ethier the piece on my truck is seezed and stuck in there or I'm just not pulling on the piece the right way. Is there a speical way to take it off? Like a speical way to turn it or something?

I think maybe you're saying that you broke the PCV valve in half. That happened to me when I replaced mine, because it fits so tight into the grommet. If that's the case, you just have to pull harder to get the rest out, and then replace the PCV valve. Or pry the whole grommet out so you don't accidentally push the bottom part of the PCV valve inside the valve cover, and then remove the stub from the grommet. It's not screwed in, it just pries out. Get a really big screwdriver.

He is not talking about the PCV valve ..... he is talking about the plastic 90 degree elbow that is in the valve cover on the other side of the engine from the PCV ........ OBIO3 ... go to your dak and follow the breather hose from the filter box to the cover and tell us how yours connects to the valve cover ..... you will find the same type of connector ...... that is if you have the 3.9 or 5.2 ........and yes I have seen them snapped in two leaving most of it still in the grommet

I would be glad to look but I have a situation right now. My left arm is busted up by the shoulder and I'll need to wait for someone to pop my hood. Maybe someone else can take a peek for him . Otherwise wait till I get company.

no, its plastic, but not blue. The piece connects to
your filter where it recives air unless you have a stand alone breather filter. By what everyone is telling me it seems the damn thing should just pull off, tomorrow i'm just going to really pull on it till the stupid thing comes out.
I should have just talked to a machanic, he would know what i mean right away haha

I did the same thing also 03RT except I went to advance auto and bought a small valve cover breather that could slide right over the plastic tube and then tightened it down w/ a small hose clamp. I must say it looks good.

Good luck.
