Hello Dak owners.
I would very much like to hear from other Dakota owners who have installed sound systems. I would like to install some Subs in the rear Speaker mounts. But at the same time do not want to lose the back seat in the extended Cab.
My truck is 1999 Dodge Dakota Sport BLK. What would be interesting is the different ideas other owners have done. Looking forward to your ideas.

MTX Thunderform is two 10" subs with or without an amplifier $250 - $400. They fit under your seat replacing the existing tool tray.
JL Audio single 8" fits in your existing tool tray $?.
Cut some metal and fill in some holes and you could put two 8" or maybe two 10" subs were your existing 6.75" speakers are in the rear panels. Job for the proffesionals and big bucks.
I have seen people build custom boxes with 2 - 12" speakers and put the under the rear seat. The seats do have to be raised a few inches for this one and could cost a lot of money.
Weather proof box in the bed vented thru the cab wall. Extreme and expensive but still an option.
