Message: 2000 Dodge Dakota Quad Cab.
39,000 easy miles
http://www.rockymountainextreme.com/showthread.php?t=43152
Basic specs:
· 360 (5.9l) V8 (oil changed every 3-5k with Mobil 1 synthetic)
· Automatic w/OD (with extra capacity aluminum pan)
· Power windows, locks, mirrors
· Air conditioning
Accessories:
· Gibson exhaust
· K&N cold air intake & throttle body spacer
· Hypertech power programmer
· Gell cell battery
· Pioneer and Infinity stereo w/XM
· Rhino lined bed with roll top tonneau
· Ruff-Tuff seat covers (seats & interior are perfect)
· N-Fabb side steps
· Tinted windows
· Husky floor liners
· Clear corner lenses
· Custom front bumper by Factory Tubular with recessed fog lights
· Rear roll pan
· Tires are 37” X 13.50” Dick Cepeks on chrome 17” American Racing wheels, tires are probably 80%.
Suspension & axles:
· Rear axle is a full width 9.25” out of a Ram 1500 with functional ABS
· Front axle is a full width Dana 44 out of a Ford F150, new brakes, hubs, seals, etc.
· Both axles have been completely rebuilt and have polished diff covers, 4.56 gears, no lockers
· Rear suspension lifted by flipping rear shackles, also has MX6 adjustable shocks and air bags with onboard air compressor
· Front suspension is a modified Ford radius arm setup with Fox coil over shocks, shock hoops are tied together with an engine cross over brace
This truck drives and handles surprisingly well. The ride is as smooth as stock. I have used this truck as a daily/weekend driver and to pull an enclosed trailer, which it does with no problems. The truck has never been abused on or off road, and it has never been on any hard-core trails. I’ve never had the heart to abuse it. The suspension is currently setup mostly for a comfortable street ride, but could be adjusted, and/or modified with a 4-link for better off road performance. Most of the parts on this truck are new.
Asking $16,500.
I saw an older ex.cab w/cheaper parts, no coilovers, and more miles sell on ebay for $16k. I will probably list this on ebay in a week or two if there isn't any local interest.
