 Subject: Used Rear Bumper - Cost & Where to find?

I backed up into a wall and bent the rear bumper on my 2000 Dakota - Red. A couple of questions:
1. How much is a used one?
2. Where can I find one on line?
3. Or if not on line how do I go about finding one in a junk yard? I never bought anything from a junk yard.
I live in the Atlant, Ga. area.

by using the yellows pages or yellowpages.com
and call your local yards
even if you find one "cheap" on the net
& if your not talking a plastic outer shell
but the steel bumper
shipping costs will be pretty high

It'll search a lot of junkyards in whatever area you specify...plus calling around is still a good idea since it doesn't search ALL the junkyards around.

That's an excellent source, and sometimes shipping isn't too bad. I've got fenders shipped with just a UPS tag, no packing required. A bumper might ship the same. Most of us call them junkyards, although many now call themselves salvage yards or auto recylers. Look for them in the yellow pages under "auto parts - used".
