If you guys like that Mike Morris the Mn vikings former long snapper has a 98 jeep wrangler with the same motor in it let me tell you that that S.O.B. is faster than sheit. He stoped by 1 of my friends work because he is friends with the owner and at 70 he can kick it down and rooooast all 4 tires the man is freaken crazy!

That is indeed one clean install! There's talk of a V-10 going into the Durango at the Hennesey Motorsports page but this is the first pick I have seen of one in the engine bay!

refinanced his home AND sold his daughter to slavery in China.
i can get the engine for 13,000 and the tranny for 8,000 (new from Mopar through my parts guy at a dealership... he always hooks me up). they were thinking of somehow wedging it into a Neon... it's been his dream for a while now.

If you think that is a jaw-dropper, try to find a Dakota GT/P2T. Its a Viper Venom V-10, with TwinTurbos. Supposedly, only 10 were made. Blown V-10......I can't imagine.

Look how far the motor is sitting to the left. How can that possibly line up with the tranny/driveshaft and still be operative? I don't see how that could be faked, but it looks funny. Rwd cars have to have the engine perfect down the middle. And besides, the firewall would have to be reworked to fit that bad 8.0L in there. Man that would haul some ass. Rear end would not be happy in turns though.

I bet he moved it over so the 6 speed tranny doesnt eat up leg room for the driver. But i bet the passenger side is all cut up and is really small.
But what a sleeper. With the hood closed it looks like a regular dak...

THe 8.0L v10 was accually started by adding two cylenders to the 5.9 and making it in aluminum. Its changed now and is probably not the same anymore but thats how the history goes. So the fire breathing 8.0 is brother to the 5.9 not distant cousin like with the 4.7.

As much as I love my Dakota and would never part with 'im (and would love to install Viper seats!).. I'd love to have the $$ to buy the Ram with that whopping >400hp powerplant!! A black sport that creams a Lightning? HELL YEAH!!! :-)

RWD vehicles don't have the have the engine down the middle. all the offset can be taken care of through the different angles in the drive-line/offset diff on the axle. i thought that was weird when i first saw it in my '70 Barracuda.

I thought all mopar truck, or at least dak motors were slightly to the right(passenger) side of the truck to compensate for the gas tank, my v6 is off-center my friends R/T is the same way, I didn't even see it until I was looking at a ram air hood for a gen II and saw the hole of the filter was off-center.
