I have a 03 Dakota QC w/ 30" tall tires. I am looking at putting in a 9.25" rear end for my hemi swap later on. Right now I have the gas sucking 3.9L w/ 3.55 gears. Will 4.10 help out w/ towing my boat up mountains? How much does it cost for someone to install it? I also do a lot of highway driving so I was wondering what would happen.

The lower gears will definitely help with the towing. For a price, you should find out who is good with gears in your area and ask them for a quote - you don't want just any shop doing this.

In my area, a complete rebuild with traclok and new gears is about $900.

How much will my mileage change and how much will it help w/ highway acceleration? Thanks so much for the info already. Also, how much will my RPMs move up when going 70mph(2000rpm w/ 3.55)?

If your rpm at 70mph is 2000 with 3.55 gears, 4.10 gears will result in 2300rpm at 70mph. That's a 15% difference.

thanks for the info. I dont mean to change the subject but do aftermarket #21 lbs injectors really make a differance in power and fuel economy?

yea. worse economy and less power. you need to open up the intake and reflash the computer to get better numbers. otherwise its gonna run rich. i did the same thing you are talking about, on a different vehicle, and that thing always flooded out.

jayb is a little off. since your '03 3.9 came with 21lb injectors and you go with the new design 4 hole 21lb injectors you may save a little fuel and performance will improve. it will be easier for the pcm to manage the fuel ratio.
