Message: I was planning on replacing the front & rear shocks this weekend and was wondering if it's really necessary to put the truck on jacks or can the shocks come off with the weight of the vehicle on the ground.

Message: You can do the rears sitting on the ground. But you need to remove the front tires to gain access to the front shocks.
