Snow will hurt the shaker very badly. You must live in a warm weather state where it never snows to have one.

I've been looking into this whole shaker hood thing for my 4.7 derange-o and I'm also concerned about moisture intake since its so open. and since I'm a fabricator, I'm thinking of producing my own system instead with a bypass.
any thoughts or takers?

I'v been running one for about 1 1/2 yrs through all kinds of weather with no problems. Just make sure you run with a high flow filter
