Has anyone reflashed their post 1999 PCM/TCM to pre 1999 TCM specs? I'm in California with a 01 R/T dak. I don't buy the overheating excuse and I'm aware of the factories emmissions concern.
Will reflashing just the TCM do the trick, or are there problems with that? I can get around code #743, but I cannot get around # 740.
any takers? I have access to scan/diagnostic equip.

.....guess I should explain...I wish to use the earlier shifting sequence that the pre 1999 Dak's use rather than the 99 later 1,2,3 immediate TC lock up, OD.
