 Subject: new 2007 dakota

New purchase.. stopped to eat on the way home...wouldn't shift out of park...tried other set of keys, worked fine. Got home now neither set will work. Truck starts, but wont shift out of park.
Any ideas?

Perhaps you should take advantage of your warranty. And if your warranty includes towing, have your new Dodge towed to a dealership so they can fix it. Or maybe they'll send someone to get it.

This is going to sound stupid. But is there a brake interlock? Try pressing down a little harder on the brake pedal.

Pressing down harder on the brake pedal to disengage the interlock is a great idea. Have you also checked for any codes by cycling the ignition on/off 3 times?
