Subject: keyless remote starters IP: Logged
Message: I want a keyless remote starter for my truck. I do not know anything about them. I would like to know if they are good or bad. I would like to know which brands are good and which are bad.
Thanks

Message: I think they're great - there's no real 'bad' things about them. I work for a local car stereo shop, and we sell Python by DEI (same people that make Viper). They are great alarms, I'd recommend them to anyone.

Message: The rumor I heard as that Viper is coming out with a combo starter and alarm that is unmatched. It scheduled release date is not in black in white but we should expect to see it sometime late Oct. I am holding out to take a peak at it. From what I was told the average person should expect to pay around $600.00 installed. It's a little pricey but Viper has built a good name by producing good equipment.

Message: DEI bought Clifford Alarm Systems about 6 months ago. All DEI is doing is repacking the
"Clifford AvantGuard 4" And calling it new.

Message: I had an alarm installed with the remote start and love being able to kick on the A/C ahead of time when it hits 110+ degrees. The only thing that was a bummer was requiring one of my keys to be carved up so the chip could be used to start the truck. Mine's an Avital.
