Does the new Dist. have a new pickup in it? Had the same problem with my 88,replaced the pickup coil computer and ignition coil still no spark.Wound up the new pickup(from NAPA)was bad.

did you replace the plug wires on that model a bad coil wire will cause that problem . a bad coil wire can even cause it not to crank over it cuts all power the ignition had that problem on my 88 3.9
