Subject: Rolling Resistance IP: Logged
Message: Question: What would cause an increase in rolling resistance as I'm driving my '94 Dakota (w/3.9L V-6 engine)? When the vehicle is cold, I can push it back and forth along the curb with one hand. Right after I drive and park it, I can't physically move it even using my shoulder.
(Of course it's out of gear, with brakes disengaged.) Once it cools down, I can easily push it back and forth again. What's happening here? Many thanks.

Message: You could have a sticky brake caliper. That would be the first thing to check. Just jack the front of the truck off the ground after you have driven it. Try and spin each wheel separately. You should check the back too, just in case.
