Whats the largest gas engine IH made for a truck? I know it was larger than the popular 392.

Message: Nice truck!
My ex-brother in law's father did carpentry work for a realestate company. He would do everything from renovation to repair. He bought a 1955 international dump bed to use to haul debris. I think he paid $1500 for it.
After doing some small maintenance repair, that truck was solid running. Don't expect it to win any races but it was perfect for what he bought it for.
I remember when he first bought it, he took the bumper off to try to smooth out a big dent. He couldn't, not even with a sledge. I can't remember exactly the thickness, I'm thinking it was 1/2" or 3/4" steel.
Ah the days when vehicles are made of REAL AMERICAN STEEL.
