I got off of work the other night and I saw a shopping cart near my truck. No one parks near me and certaintly not on a night when it's 14 below 0. Anyway, I see a guy pull up next to my truck, starts to write down my plate number. I ask whats going on. Here some dumbass took a car and pushed a shopping cart into the side of my truck from across the parkinglot. What a cowardly thing to do. Mess with someones nice truck. I live 2 hours away from my hometown. The car that pushed the cart, is registered to a person from my hometown, whom I do not know!! But I am going to get an estimate tomorrow, the police are on it, and this is a felony! I am beyond pissed! What kind of jackass would do such a thing? If you have a problem with me, don't drive 2 hours away to push a cart into my truck, find me!!

I feel your pain Brett, in Dec. I pulled into a space between two cars at the local Kohls store. I come out about 30 min later and there is a silver dollar size dent in my driver side door were there is a design crease along the door. Its dented to the point were the paint is cracked and all. It can't even be pushed out from the inside. It needs to be done at a body shop. I mean you had to really wack it hard to get it dented in like that! People are just plain ingnorant. The car that was parked next to me was gone and was probably the culpret.
I'm pretty anal about the appearance of my trucks so you can imagine how I felt.

I lucked out though. I have an eye witness and the plate number of the person who did it! I can't begin to thank the witness enough for doing what he did! I had a guy key my truck after I got him fired and I couldn't prove it was him, so the police and my employer wouldn't do anything. I also am very anal about how my truck looks. So I was at the hospital a couple of weeks ago with my brother and we got out to leave and his entire front quarter panel was smashed and i mean smashed like someone pulled into the spot directly into his front end. No way to prove who did it. Tell me thats not shady.

For these reasons I make sure to park out a little ways from the store. The lazy people park as close as they can to the store. So if you park close, even if there are no cars besides you when you park these people will be parked next to you whn you return. I have seen big fat cows just slam thier door open s they can get their bulk out of their car and slam the door of the car next to them with my own eyes. So I take care where I park and have not a single ding in my 99 Dak. It also gives me a little exercise to have to walk a little further. I have also seen shopping carts roll across the parking lot and hit another car. However, no matter where u park, if someone wants to deliberately roll a cart into your car there is not much you can do. Some one must have slammed you pretty hard to shift your box! I hd someone slam into my rear quarter panel and not even shift the box?? Maybe someone had a cart strapped to thei front brush guard and slammed you with it. What the heck did you do to that guy??

The day my "00" Dak got nailed, we went to another shopping center and I purposely parked in the far empty lot, I come out and parked right next to me is this Ford Bronco. All the room in the world in that lot and he parks right next to me. No damage, but he just had to park RIGHT there. Oh well.

Thats just it, I park on the far side of the parking lot. There is one other employee that parks near me. There are cameras in the lot, but they do no good! My store manager told me. I have the guys address, but haven't done anything yet. Right now I am waiting for the police to finish what they need to do. After that, I sue for the damages done to my vehicle and more. I'll keep you up to date whats going on. Not too often there is a witness and justice can be served to these douches

Unfortnate for us truck owners go through this B.S. , when they think a truck suppose to take this kind of abuse because its a TRUCK not a car.... myself always finding carts and B.S*it around my truck ticks me off too espically when you see the buggy fetchers running there mouths and not doing there job!!

I really don't have a short fuse or anything. I am always a happy go lucky kinda guy. Not much upsets me. The big thing that has me upset here is that someone drove two hours, slammed a cart in my truck and left.If they have a problem with me or what, find me, not my vehicle. What kind of pansy ass does that? I know it's a truck, and that being flashy makes it a target and all. There are always going to be some idiots out there that get bored, don't have a nice vehicle and think it would be fun to vandalize a nice looking one! Can't stop that! I ike my truck, and some moron that doesn't like me isn't going to change that!

Not my point at all. I like to keep all my vehicles in good condition - clean, trauma free, etc. But if you drive it, some trauma is inevitable. Even my Cobra has some chips and dings here and there; hard to prevent them at 140mph.
When some chucklehead intentionally bashes your vehicle, you should be unhappy about it. Very unhappy. Even disgusted that this particular jerk is allowed to roam free in human society. I agree with you whole heartedly.
But you caught the the guy. You can make him pay. To be "Beyond Pissed", is probably going to lead to ulcers. Maybe a little over reacting. Relaxe a little.
But, that's just my opinion. I could be wrong.
