Had a problem with my front brake pulling to the right. Got to looking at it and found out that the bottom caliper bolt was stripped out on the Steering Knuckle. Went to my Brakeman and he said this is a major problem with all Dodge trucks and Jeeps, and has done quite a few. The only way to fix it is with helicoil (if hole not ovaled out) or replace the Knuckle. And he also said that he had just done a truck, all four caliper bolts, because the Knuckle is Dealer cost $415.00 (part only). Sounds like a big problem, Has anybody else had this problem? I filed a complaint with the NHTSA under: 2000, dodge, dakota, STEERING:LINKAGES:KNUCKLE:SPINDLE:ARM. If you have had the same problem please file a complaint and maybe we can get a recall (it took only 5 complaints here to recall the ball joints). Please file at WWW.NHTSA.DOT.GOV Thanks a Dakota Fan

yes i had the same exact problem and I needed to replace the steering knuckle. But i just went to the junkyard and bought one for 85 dollars so its much cheaper. Depends if you care if its used or not.
