Subject: front bumper meets ball hitch

Unfortunately, last night (tuesday) in central Pa after a quick heavy ice/snow storm, I went to pull in to my driveway when the 02 dakota (4wd)slid on ice right past the driveway and hit the hitch of a parked suv. No damage to the other car but I really messed up my front bumper. I pulled the truck in the garage and when I came out this morning there was a small puddle of PINK fluid about 1/3cup in volume. The bumper, even though dented, didnt hit either radiator (have tranny cooling system - tow package). I have yet to determine the location of the leak, except that it is on the ground underneath the very front of the engine. I have not changed any of the original fluids just yet in the cooling systems. Any guesses as to the type of fluid I am leaking - again, it is pink in color. Thanks

Watery substance = coolant

Oily substance = tranmission fluid

thanks for the reply. Yeah, it appears to be engine coolant - I think that I cracked the lower radiator hose but I havent found the exact location yet. My engine coolant resovour is near empty too. Also upon further inspection, it appears that the ball hitch that I hit made it all the way to the tranny cooler and damaged that as well. I also noticed some damage to the left turn signal and a broken plastic undercarriage cover. The person that I hit has a few scratch marks and small gouges in their plastic bumper. They didnt want me touching it up with paint, but instead want a bumper paint job - guess this is all going to be claimed by insurance. One question - I am unsure if my tranny cooler is leaking - does it have the same coolant that the engine radiator has in it? Some of the tubes are bent but unsure if it is leaking. How would I know if it is leaking? Thanks again.

How about
